Always measure your oil. A 3 – l corn to oil ratio is recomended. Using too little oil will not allow for proper heat transfer resaulting in poor expansion. Using too much oil extends the time the corn sits in the popper, allowing the moister leak out, resauting in poor expansion.
Measuring the oil deliverd periodicly ensure a more consistant product.
For Example: A customer called asking us to service this popper. He explained that he was getting poor expansion. After checking the oil set point we found that not enough oil was being delived becasue of a loose hose clamp, allowing air into the lines.
